For The Bridge VII, Alcantara presents LE ICONE (The Icons): an open-air museum that takes on a journey through time and the history of the brand, starting from interior design and proceeding to fashion, then automotive and consumer electronics.
ALCANTARA LE ICONE: AT THE BRIDGE VII
For the second year running, Alcantara is partner of The Bridge VII – one of the most elite events on the US car scene, held in the stunning greenery of the old Bridgehampton Race Circuit, in the Hamptons.
The threads that run through this itinerary are the values of Made in Italy and the contemporary lifestyle of which Alcantara has always been ambassador, together with the material’s boundless creative languages, a source of inspiration and medium for international artists and designers to express themselves.

The concept behind Alcantara THE ICONS
Alcantara LE ICONE begins with the idea of “art material” and places Qui Lei Lei’s work ‘Signs, Symbols and Scripts’ at the heart of the space, to visually explore how the material transforms each common object into a unique must-have.
The Tulip armchair, designed by Marcel Wanders and covered in silver Alcantara for this event, is a prime example. Also notable the range of clothes from the special collections made with Yohji Yamamoto, Lanvin and GCDS.
Extreme customization
The automotive section highlights Alcantara’s most daring customizations, showing its many textures and custom options that make Alcantara a multifaceted material while still retaining its unique character.
The cars
Partners, exhibitors and selected guests gathered on Friday 22 September at the Collectors Reception with live music, food and a special atmosphere also characterized by the presence of numerous unique and extraordinary luxury cars, many of them with custom interiors in Alcantara.
This affirms Alcantara’s position as a key partner in the car industry and its dedication to crafting unique experiences for car lovers and collectors.
