ALCANTARA MAGIC GARDEN AT 2015 EARTH DAY

Alcantara, partnering with World Bank’s Connect4Climate, Earth Day Network and Global Poverty Project, supported the 45^th anniversary of 2015 Earth Day taking place April 17-19 on the National Mall in Washington.

Alcantara was one of the main partner of the three-days-event and welcomed up to 50.000 people a day in its own “Alcantara magic garden” pavilion: an imaginary fairytale landscape where we can see, touch and try the Alcantara material that convey a strong feeling of pleasure and amusement.

“Alcantara magic garden” is a route winding through a ‘virtual wood’ with a long river, broad fields, sculptural trees and out-of-scale fruit. They create the setting for the extraordinariness of works by star designers and young talents, who perfectly succeed in bringing thoughts to life through the medium of this exceptional material.

Once again, with its contribution to such a worldwide event, Alcantara confirms to be a step forward in the sustainability field, which is gaining growing appreciation in all the businesses in which the company operates: from automotive to fashion, from interior design to hi-tech.
