À.RIA. A medium for connection

For the third consecutive year, Alcantara and Archiproducts renewed their collaboration with “À.RIA. A MEDIUM FOR CONNECTION”, presented at Milan Design Week 2025. Inspired by the ethereal element of air, the installation, curated by Milanese architecture studio Studiopepe, transformed the spaces of Via Tortona 31 into dynamic and sensorial environments.

Within this setting, Alcantara was presented in hues inspired by the sky and wind, enriched with delicate peach accents. The central scenographic element is a room featuring a bugnato wall in Alcantara, a relief-patterned surface, created using 3D Thermoforming technology. Alcantara also covered curtains, portals, boiserie elements, poufs, and sofas, creating a fluid and harmonious space where the material took center stage in a fully immersive sensory experience.

Nendo’s work explores a new material perception, evoking the craftsmanship of master cabinetmakers’ inlays, reinterpreted with Japanese harmony and composure.
